aduated high school together in 1964 and soon after high school Wuss enlisted in the United States Navy where he served 4 years during the Vietnam War on the USS Princeton. Wuss and Cherry married on March 16, 1968 and stay settled in South Florida where they had two children, Clinton Wasteney and Cherie Wasteney. Wuss made a career as a phone technician for Bell South, Southern Bell and AT&T where he worked 36 years. He retired about 10 years ago when he and his son, Clinton decided to start a successful fresh water fishing guide business called Bass Boys. Wuss loved being a fishing guide and continued to show others how to fish until he couldn't do it anymore. Man did he love to fish! Wuss was so much more than just a husband and a father who fished. Wuss was a teammate at the drop of a hat when his daughter needed another player for a softball game. He was a mechanic as he and his son spent countless nights in the garage building several race cars. He was a crew chief for his son during each and every race and was always ready for race day. He was a coach and mentor to so many as he loved to coach youth football, baseball and basketball at the Miramar Optimist Club as well as various high schools. He was full of pride and completely humble all at the right times. He was a fighter and stood for what he thought was right when he needed to and he was a tissue to cry into when consoling ever needed to be done. He was a friend to everyone. He was a lover to his wife of 49 years and he was a phenomenal and proud Papa to his grandchildren. His family and friends couldn't have asked for a better human being to be a part of their lives. Wuss is survived by his loving wife, Cherry, his children Clinton (daughter-in-law Lorie Quartermaine Wasteney) and Cherie and his grandchildren Cameron Wade Wasteney and Dakota Rae Wasteney. He is also survived by his cousins Barbara Georgia and Vince Gable as well as extended family in Texas. Wuss was loved more than he will ever know and will be missed beyond words. Hammer down and tight lines Wuss! Always have our backs until we see you again...
