ger and Slater. When his health no longer allowed him to serve as a peace officer he went back to his trade as an electrician for Polk County. Ollie had many loves in his life: his Church, his wife Barb, spending time with his family, being a friend to all, and teaching others various skills that he knew so well. He was a faithful member of the Hope Lutheran Church. Those left to cherish Ollie's loving memories are his wife of 51 years Barb; 4 children, Debbie (Craig) Brooks, Carol (Christopher) Lathrop, Steve (Cami) Wright, and Robbie (Katy) Wright; grandchildren, Christopher Brooks, Brandon Brooks, Ashley Brooks, Clayton Wright, Gabe Wright, Greg Wright, Andria Wright, Payton Wright, Blake Geilenfeldt, Brayden Geilenfeldt, Ben Lathrop, and Sam Lathrop, Katie Lathrop,Brian Lathrop ; great grandchildren, Cayden Brooks, Stephanie Hamill, and Liam Hamill; 4 siblings, Mary (Ron) Gutuskie of Des Moines, IA, Woody (Fran) Wright of Oregon, Linda (Neil) Umphress of Oregon, and Marty Nickison (Dave Rawson) of Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Ollie was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family so they may distribute them to various local charities.
