Deloris S. Burke, 73, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE with Father Anthony Weidner officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will begin at 6:00 P.M., with a scriptural wake service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Deloris was born in Bloomfield, NE on April 22, 1944, the daughter of Ivan and Delia (James) Bellis. She graduated from South Sioux City High School. Deloris married Jim Burke on September 25, 1965 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. They were blessed with three children. A lifelong resident of South Sioux City, she stayed at home to raise their children, while working at various part time jobs outside the home. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE, and the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending her children and grandchildren's sports activities, and traveling. Survivors include her husband, Jim Burke; children, Monty (Leisa) Burke, Misty (Steve) Andreasen, and Jason Burke; grandchildren, Rileigh and Reese Burke, Bailey Burke and Delaney Andreasen; sisters, Lorraine Hankins (Lyle Heezen) and Karen Boyle; brother-in-law, John Burke; sister-in-law, Darlene Bellis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Delia Bellis; a grandson, Michael Burke; 4 brothers, Wilbert "Ole", Lyle, Myrle and Ronnie; a sister, Darlene Roberts; and brothers-in-law, Mick Burke and Bill Boyle.
