Betty Mickler, 94, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away peacefully on July 18, 2017. She was born to Gust and Mary Giannios in Youngstown, Ohio on June 19, 1923 and moved to Florida in 1961. Betty had a passion for her family, traveling, bowling, and swimming. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and lived a long, happy life.
Betty is survived by her sister, Bessie Kapsal; Daughters Mary Greer, Patty (Gene) Deese, Marcia (Bill) Edwards, Laura Mickler; Grandchildren Nancy Greer, Sheri Dennis, Brian Edwards, Alissa Beaulieu, Greg Deese, Nicole Williams, Danielle Hudzina, Justin Ankney, Lexie Edwards, John Edwards, Jason Edwards; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, James and John Giannios, her loving husband, Lawrence Mickler, and her grandson, Billy Edwards.
Visitation for Betty will be held at from 9:30am-11:30am on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the
Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte. The celebration of her life will begin promptly 11:30am on Sunday. Betty will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
