Lucille Evelyn Meyer, 94, of Latimer, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa.
She was born April 29, 1923, in Geneva, Iowa, to Ernest Andrew and Jesse Olive (Baylis) Theis. Lucille graduated from Geneva High School. She was united in marriage to Theodore William Meyer on May 11, 1941, at Grant Center Church in rural Iowa Falls, Iowa. Lucille was a farmer's wife and loved every minute of it. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer, Iowa, where she was also active in the Ladies Aid group. Lucille enjoyed baking, gardening, selling pies and garden produce at the farmer's market, and she loved spending time with her family.
Lucille is survived by her children Gerald (Janice) Meyer of Rockford, Timothy (Doris) Meyer of Winterset, Sylvia (Roland) Massow of Robins, Cynthia (Gary) Sevde of Atkins, sister Pearl Bauer of Scottsdale, Arizona, grandchildren Steven (Emma) Meyer, Robin (Michael) Godfrey, Matthew (Dori) Sevde, Rebecca (Aaron) Bunce, Amanda (Matthew) Ottinger, Wesley (Stephanie) Massow, Jennifer Massow, Theodore "Ted" (Stephanie Worm) Massow, Shawna Massow, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren.
