Kenneth "Kenny"

Kenneth "Kenny" R. Thompson, 68, of Waterloo, formerly of New Hampton, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He was born December 28, 1948 in New Hampton, the son of Raymond and Alice (Munson) Thompson. He married Deborah Lynn Faulkner June 28, 1969 in Waterloo, and they were later divorced. He then married Patsy "Pat" Shirley July 2, 1994 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Kenny graduated from New Hampton High School in 1967 and then from NIACC in Mason City. Mr. Thompson was employed at Rath Packing Company and John Deere & Company. He was the owner of City & Farm Home Improvements, doing home improvements for 30 years. He was also a real estate investor for over 30 years. Kenny was the founder of Cedar Valley Bass Masters and served as president many years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and all around outdoorsman. Kenny was a jokester, and always upbeat and positive.
