Mary E. Cook "Beth", 99, died on July 29, 2017 at her home in Mobile, Alabama. She was born on January 15, 1918 in Clovis, New Mexico to James H. and Alma M. (Wilson) Massey. She married James L. Cook on February 20, 1937 in Denver, Colorado. Mary lived in the Denver area most of her life but moved to Alabama approximately 30 years ago.
Mary loved to travel by RV camper throughout the United States and as family came first, she would always include her grandchildren in her travels. Mary loved to crochet and was always a very positive soul, pushing the philosophy "if you don't do it right, don't do it at all". A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary (Harvey) Houston of Brighton, CO and Judy (Garry) Chamberlain of Semmes, AL; son, James (Gail) Cook of Gulf Breeze, FL; sister, Iva Unger of Englewood, CO; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Jim in 2005; sister Lyda; and grandson Kirk Houston in 2016.
