James Powell Sims, 91, passed away on August 11, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 15 at Memory Chapel with interment to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Wayne County. Rev. Brandon Powell will officiate. Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memory Chapel.
He is survived by two sons, David Sims and Michael Sims; step-son, Jimmy Sims; daughters, Joyce Sturdivant and Lydia Jefcoat; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
