Julia B. Kinney

:  Julia B. Kinney (nee Strnisha), 92, of Lorain, died Sunday August 13, 2017 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain.

She was born January 3, 1925 in Lincoln Heights, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Julia worked at Woolworth's in Lorain where she was a waitress in the soda fountain area.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister Christina Graytok of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Lisa Kiser of Elyria, Joe Yance (Shell) of Elyria, Brian Kinney (Andrea) of Fort Myers, Florida and Lorie Xikes (Greg) of Fort Myers, Florida and 5 great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years George Kinney in 1997, daughter Julia Yance, son George Kinney, parents Martin & Julia Strnisha (nee Zavrl), brothers: Vincent, Martin, Max & Stanley Strnisha and sisters Stephania Levkulich and Helen Sisul.

 

Funeral Schedule

The family will receive friends for a funeral service on Wednesday August 16, 2017 at 11:00 am in the A-Frame Chapel at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Rd, Avon.  Burial will follow.  ...[more]
