Amber Gunhus

Amber Rae Gunhus was born on September 16, 1982, in Waterloo, the daughter of Freddy "Dean" and Glenda (Payne) Gunhus.  She graduated from Waterloo East High School.  Amber enjoyed painting, drawing, crafting, collecting mermaids, and Diet Pepsi.  She had a very special relationship with her aunts and cousins, and enjoyed spending time with her entire family.  Amber died at the age of 34 on August 14, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center, from complications of diabetes.  She was preceded in death by her father; a grandmother, Dwella LaBarre; and two grandfathers, Freddy Gunhus and Glen Payne.  Amber is survived by her mother, two sons, Justice and Sawyer; a daughter, Parker Rae; a grandmother, Donna Clark; two brothers, Montana and Shane Gunhus; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
