Dorothy L. Gaede

Dorothy L. Gaede, 92, of Waterloo died at Ravenwood Specialty Care on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 of natural causes. ​ She was born August 7, 1925 in Waterloo, daughter of George and Hazel Kern Wallace.   She married Vern H. Gaede November 22, 1941 in Waterloo. He died on December 25, 2010. She worked at Whitaker Foods until 1990 and was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.    She is survived by her two sons, Dennis (Marilyn) Gaede of Cedar Falls and Larry (Patty) Gaede of Waterloo; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great??'great grandchildren.                   Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Ronald Gaede; a brother, LaVerne Wallace; and two brothers in infancy.
