kaloosa. She enjoyed going to the figure eight races, being outdoors, and playing pepper and Farkle. She also enjoyed doing crafts: painting, crocheting, coloring, and putting puzzles together. She was a very talented cook and baker, she will be remembered for her cinnamon rolls. She delighted in having her family around, she looked forward to preparing Sunday dinner for them every week. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Elks, Tweetie's Angels, and the American Kidney Foundation.
She is survived by her five children, Bronson (Angie) Myers of Sigourney, Marla Myers of Oskaloosa, James (Patricia) Myers of Sigourney, Stacy (Matt) Sabin of Sigourney, and Curt (Mary) Myers of Sigourney; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; a sister, Janice VanHelten of Osage Beach, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband Frank Myers; a son, Justin Myers; a grandson, Dakota Myers; and two brothers, Buck VanHelten and Leroy VanHelten.
As was Carol's wish her body has been cremated and no services are planned. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
