Obituary: Clarence Cooper   Clarence Cooper was born to Hubert and Luerenda Cooper on June 9, 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Clarence accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. Willie Earl Hausey at St. John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans. Clarence was married to Dewenda Tate Cooper for 31 years. Clarence served in the United States Air Force from 1971 through 1976. He lived in New Orleans with Wendy until hurricane Katrina took them to North Richland Hills, Texas in 2005. He resided in North Richland Hills and joined the First Baptist Church of Smithfield. Clarence served faithfully, singing in the choir and playing his tambourine, lifting many souls. He praised God and played his tambourine even on his sick bed. Clarence passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 in North Richland Hills, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Luerenda Cooper, two sisters, Louvinia Haley, Nora Huntington and one brother, Hubert Copper Jr. Clarence will be cherished and missed by many, especially for all of his joking and the many nicknames he gave to his family members. He also leaves 3 brothers, Leroy Cooper (Katherine), Hughleon Cooper (Karen Weber), Theado Cooper (Wenda Cyprain), 4 sisters, Cleo Johnson (Darrel), Angela Garrett (John), Avis Banks (Leonard), Cheryl Payadue (Jerome), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   The family of Clarence Cooper wishes to sincerely express our gratitude and appreciation for your prayers, calls, visits, flowers, cards and other acts of kindness during his life, illness and passing.
