to 2011 she came back to fill in at the County Assessor's office. She was a former member of BPW where she held the position of secretary for two years. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed auctions, bingo, going to casinos, all crafting, and spending time with family and with friends on road trips. Like her father, she never met a stranger. Survivors include one daughter, Seanne (Wally) West of New London, IA; one son, David Hausner of the Quad Cities; two sisters, Joan (Lee) VanZee of Des Moines and Kathleen (Carl) Rominger of Albia, IA; five granddaughters, Jamie (Daniel) Pringle, Heidi (Seth Gipple) Calvin, Kayla (Christopher) Harkless, Whitney (Daniel) Kinney, Kaysi (Gabe) Burden; eight great grandchildren, Chloe, Skyler and Aiden Pringle, Kaylee and Karter Calvin, Bucannon and Logan Harkless and Ava Kinney; nieces and nephews; one paternal aunt, Avene Nolte of Minnesota; many special friends and classmates who were very dear to Jan...Blessings to all until you meet on the other side. The memorial funeral service for Jan will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 25th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of the service. A memorial has been established for Des Moines County Big Hollow. Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
