Kae Lenor Clay, 81, of Hampton, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, at the Glen Oaks Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Urbandale, Iowa. She was born October 9, 1935, in Rock Valley, Iowa, to Marzo and Rosie (Klein) Kessler. Kae graduated from the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa with an education degree. She was united in marriage to Donald Lawrence Clay on June 1, 1957, in Rock Valley, Iowa. Kae worked as a school teacher in Hampton, secretary, homemaker and worked in the records department at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. She was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church in Hampton where she was active in the church choir. Kae volunteered at the Hampton food pantry, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking/cooking, picnics, holidays and was in a card club for 57 years.
