usic Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1972. Then, in 1974, she began a long tenure as a violist with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, living the remainder of her life in Indianapolis. For the 34 years that Marjie lived in Indianapolis, she made her home in the Rocky Ripple neighborhood that she loved so much. She loved gardening at her home on Sunnymeade Lane, and she also loved her generations of dogs from Ralphy on to Nikki and Barney, all of whom were rescue animals. With this love of animals came her generous support of many charities involved in animal support and rescue. She also loved and cared dearly for friends and family, maintaining contact with many friends from throughout her life. Marjie is survived by two brothers; Charles Alvin and David Alvin Rupp, and two nephews, David Alvin Jr. and Darryl Andrew Rupp. There will be a memorial service for family and friends, hosted by her friends at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, on Saturday, September 16th, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Symphony Center, 32 E. Washington St., 17th Floor, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46204.
