wa. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary with family. He pursued a long career at Grain Processing Corporation where he was in technical starch sales. He retired in 2005. In his more youthful days, Steve loved kayaking, canoeing, and horseback riding with his family. He truly enjoyed camping trips with buoyant friends and his children. Steve is remembered for his kindness, fairness, humbleness, and sense of humor. Persistence is his most influential life lesson he bestowed to his children. He is survived by his wife, Arlen Poock; and two children, Brandon Poock of Muscatine, and Melanie (Tom) Morgan, of Coralville; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace and Benjamin Paul Morgan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Laurie Long of Madrid; and cousins, Dave (Doreen) Lechner and Shirley Merner of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gary Poock.
