BYRON, MINN:Eugene Gene B. Schroeder, 53, died of natural causes at his home on Sunday, December 16, 2012. Eugene Barry Schroeder was born July 24, 1959 to Barry and Carol (Berge) Schroeder in Harmony, MN. He graduated from Harmony High School. Gene worked for Kemps LLC for over thirty years. He coached youth football for ten years, soccer for five years, basketball for five years, and baseball for five years. Gene married Cindy L. Aitkenhead on April 24, 1982 in Byron, MN. He was on the Byron Fire Department for eighteen years. Gene is survived by his wife Cindy Schroeder, Byron, MN; his children, Nathan (Ashley) Schroeder, Rochester, MN, Adam Schroeder, Rochester, MN and Courtney Schroeder, Byron, MN; his brothers, Steve (Kari) Schroeder, Harmony, MN, Don Schroeder, LaCrescent, MN, Tony (Erika) Schroeder, Jacksonville, FL, Scott (Penny) Schroeder, Richardson, TX, Barry (Demerris) Schroeder, Austin, TX; and his sister Kim (Pat) Wilson, Cresco, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel.
