BYRON, MINN: Kevin Matthew Johnson, 43, reached his ultimate destination of Heaven on Friday, December 21, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Kevin was born May 8, 1969 in Rochester to John and Verna (Wobschall) Johnson. Kevin was a 1987 graduate of Byron High School. On September 29, 1990 Kevin married Hollee Nelson. Kevin attended Community Celebration Church and worked at Mayo Clinic. Kevin was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and all sports. He was a fan of the Gophers, Twins and the Vikings. Kevin was a comedian with a great sense of humor. He was a kind, simple yet generous man, and a true fighter. He loved spending time with his family and friends, making memories. Kevin was a devoted husband, wonderful father and cherished friend. Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Hollee; sons, Derrik and Ryan of Byron; parents, John and Verna Johnson of Byron; sister, Deb (John) Schad of Northfield; two nieces; two nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Loah Nelson of Kasson and numerous friends.
