James "Jim" A. Soukup

ROCHESTER, MN:James A. Jim Soukup, 78, of Rochester, MN, died at his home on Saturday, December 14, 2013. He was born January 4, 1935 to William H. Baihly and Marie (Austin) Soukup in Owatonna, Minnesota.After graduating from Owatonna High School and University of Minnesota, he worked 28 years for Social Security Administration in St. Paul, Bemidji, and Rochester. Jim was stationed in Germany for two years while in the Army.In 1966 he married Mary Lou Wieman. She survives as well as nieces Jody Hoehle, Julie Chapman, Morey Wade, Michele Wade, Amy and Ryan Sturgis and their children.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Baihly W. Soukup. A memorial service will be held at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna, Minnesota.Memorials to Owatonna Foundation or a cause of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
