ROCHESTER, MINN:Frank Bud A. Renning, 89, of Rochester, MN died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his residence in Rochester. Frank Allen Renning was born March 6, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Floyd and Nettie (Bierbaum) Renning. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1942.Bud served his country with honor as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart during the Battle of the Bulge.On September 29, 1946, he married Wilma Lois Schellin in Rochester, Minnesota.Bud opened Rennings Flowers in 1959. He was very active in the floral industry and a huge supporter of the Rochester Community serving as a Fire Commissioner (25 years) and a member of the following organizations; Toastmasters, Odd Fellows, Youth Baseball, Masons, Shriners, Elks, Eagles, Chamber Ambassadors, Rochester Mustangs, Rochester Exchange Club, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Charter Member, North Central Florists Association, FTD District Chair, FTD Regional Director. He is survived by his wife, Wilma, of Rochester; his son, Jerry (Adair) Renning of Milan, MI, granddaughters Meghann (Jeff) Conly, Asia; his son, Bruce (Barbara) Renning of Minneola, FL granddaughter Brandie (Chad) Larson, grandson Bryce; his daughter, Kimberly (Phil) Schroeder of Rochester, MN, granddaughters Alyse, Andrea (Mark) Junge; and three great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepfather and 2 stepbrothers. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 1212 12th Avenue NW in Rochester, MN with Pastor Karna Hagen officiating.Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW in Rochester, MN and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester with military honors by the Rochester American Legion Post # 92.
