80 local churches, kept records and distributed food. She also managed the cheese and butter distribution for Berks County during that time. She organized volunteers and food and cooked for the homeless shelter on night a week. Alma received many distinguished service awards from the American Heart Association, Reading Emergency Shelter and Greater Area Involved Lutherans for all her volunteer efforts. She also enjoyed traveling within the United States, Canada, Hawaii and Europe. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, quilting and reading. Alma lived in her Wyomissing home for 17 years before moving to Elmcroft in 2014. She is survived by two children, Rita A. Rohrbach, wife of Robert Rohrbach of Bern Township and Davie N. Hill, husband of Cynthia (Faust) of Muhlenberg Township; three grandchildren, Rebecca Foster, Tracey Weidner and Joshua Hill and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Dierolf and sister, Edna (Dierolf) Yoder. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA officiated by Pastor Wayne Heintzelman. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, June 5 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at which time the funeral service will begin.
