r major competitions. He was more interested in encouraging and inspiring those around him rather than being shown pity or favoritism. He had a kind and gentle spirit. He found great comfort and strength in his personal relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
His family includes his mother and caregiver, Joni Davis of Oskaloosa; his father and his wife, Keith and Denise Davis of Ankeny; a sister and her husband, Juli and Tony Johnson of Oskaloosa; a brother and his wife, Kevin and Emily Davis of Ankeny; his grandmothers, Nellie Davis of Perry, Patricia Orman of Oskaloosa, and Carol Bohner of Perry; nieces and nephews, Keegan Davis, Kaelan Davis, Chase Davis, Isabel Davis, A.J. Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, and Kassie Johnson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and close friend: Jennier Schuning.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Merlin Davis and Jean Orman; an uncle, Todd Orman; and an aunt, Cinda Mathis.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Bill Hines officiating. Visitation will begin Friday, September 8, 2017, after 12:00 with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 to greet friends and relatives. Burial and Graveside services will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry, Iowa on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Memorials may be made to Brian Davis Memorial Fund.
