Thomas Howard Arneson

Stoughton - Thomas Howard Arneson, age 72, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Thomas was born on February 14, 1945, in Stoughton, Wisc., the son of Howard and Evelyn Arneson. Thomas lived and attended Stoughton Schools and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Milton College. He went on to work for the Stoughton Police Dept., Sheriff Dept., Kayser Auto, Stoughton Hub, and served on City Council for Stoughton. His joy was keeping lawns trimmed in Stoughton Parks. He also enjoyed holiday get togethers, golfing, and watching Antique Shows. He had tremendous love for the Chicago Bears and Cubs. He married Irene Bartelt on Dec. 23, 1991 after a long unity. Together they raised 5 children, Jane Arneson of Chesapeake, VA., Paul Arneson of Stoughton, Wisc., David (Hope) Bartelt of Stoughton, Wisc., Peter (Kari) Bartelt of Stoughton, Wisc, Kristina Bartelt of Stoughton, Wisc. He spent his best times with his 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank Agrace for all their help and support.
