e original president of the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House. He was instrumental in establishing the Indianapolis Ronald McDonald House in 1982. Chuck continued to dutifully and compassionately serve on the board of directors until his death. In 1999 he was bestowed the Indiana Jefferson Award for his public service, and in 2014, he was presented the Mike Vogel Humanitarian Award. Chuck served Riley Children's Hospital as assistant director and associate administrator. He then worked at the National Institute of Fitness & Sport as vice president of administration and then practiced independent law. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brother Dale Richmond. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Jean Richmond; his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Mandy Richmond; his loving granddaughter, Juliana Richmond; his dear brother, Barry (Anne) Richmond and a host of grateful colleagues, youth athletes and families who needed a helping hand. A celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, September 9th at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel beginning at 2:00pm and concluding with remarks at 5:00 pm.
