Jeff "Subbie" Subbert, 53, of Muscatine, passed away on September 4, 2017 at Trinity Muscatine. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation for Jeff will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Jeffrey Ronald Subbert was born on September 22, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son Ronald and Karolyn (Rueckert) Subbert. Jeff was a 1982 graduate of Muscatine High School and attended DeVry Technical Institute. On July 1, 1984, Jeff was united in marriage to Twyla Rowe in Muscatine. e, Shriners-Kansas City, Missouri Unit and was a 32nd Degree Master Mason. Jeff was an avid sports fan enjoying the Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa Hawkeyes and NASCAR. He enjoyed trap shooting, playing cards, carpentry and going out to the burn.
Jeff will be deeply missed by his wife, Twyla; daughter, Sara (Dan) Schmelzer of Wilton; grand dog, Fletcher; his parents, Ron and Karolyn Subbert of Muscatine; siblings, Christopher Subbert of Iowa City, Karleen (Bryan) Brauns of Belton, TX and Mark (Wendy) Subbert of Muscatine; mother-in-law, Hortense Rowe of Muscatine; sister-in-law, Gale (Ed) Fry of Muscatine; brother-in-law's, Randy Rowe of Colorado Springs, CO and Jim (Sue) Rowe of North Carolina; uncle, Bill Hedges of Bettendorf; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Tim and Diane Nelson, Jim and Kathy Cottrell, Dave and Stacie Hoag and Doug and Sandi Hoag, all of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Karl and Gladys Rueckert and Howard and Dorothy Subbert; aunts, Suzanne Hedges and Christel Beck; father-in-law, Calvin T. Rowe and sister-in-law, Kathy Rowe.
