r friends and neighbors in the community. She enjoyed rocking on her front porch while laughing and sharing stories with whomever stopped by. And oh how she loved her family. She was the true matriarch of a very large family. She loved all her children and grandchildren with all her heart. But those babies, Mrs. Hazel loved her babies, and she had plenty. She would tell anyone she talked to about all of her babies. Even at 93, her mind was so sharp that she could tell you the traits of each one of them. And even though her stern, loving hands will be missed here on Earth, there is no doubt Mrs. Hazel is in Heaven surrounded by loved ones eating honeybuns while telling her stories already.
She was a long-time member of Soso First Baptist Church.
