e that they knew right from wrong and minded their manners. She demanded respect and she definitely earned it. Elvira loved to go to church and praise the Lord. She attended the El Sendero de la Cruz Baptist Church for most of her life. She prayed over her husband and children constantly. Elvira had a great sense of humor. She and Jesus loved to laugh and tell jokes. Many times they had the kids in tears because they were so funny. Elvira is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, San Juanita Cabreda, her brothers in law, Julio Treviño, Jorge Treviño, and Javier Treviño. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty seven years, Jesus Treviño Jr., her children, Ann Liza Gomez, of Mercedes, Julian Treviño (Gissel) of Houston, Kristina Lopez (Jesus) of Mercedes, her grandchildren, Jaime Adrian Robledo, Dominick Alexis Gomez, Jason Alexander Treviño, Kimberly Sosa, Emiliano Lopez, Bianca Lopez, and Arianna Lopez, her sisters Valentina Medrano (Jose) and Minerva Perales (Ricardo+) her sisters in law, Mary Cardenas (Daniel+) of Weslaco, Martha Mejia of Iowa, Felicitas Galvan (Henry) of Arlington, Feliciana Salinas of Weslaco, Olga Riojas (Ramiro) of Weslaco, Rosalva Treviño of Arlington, Barbara Treviño of Wisconsin, her brothers in law, Juan Treviño of Florida, Joel Treviño of Florida, Juventino Treviño of Iowa, and Jose Treviño of Wisconsin, numerous nephews and nieces. Elvira will always be remembered as a beautiful and hard working Christian mother, who was full of love, laughter and life. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11th from 1-9pm, with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12th, at 10am at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes. Serving as pallbearers will be Julian Treviño, Jesus Lopez, Jaime Adrian Robledo, Dominick Alexis Gomez, Jason Alexander Treviño, and Emiliano Lopez.
