writing his memoirs that are being enjoyed by his family. Roy had many hobbies including drawing cartoons for the Daily Gate City, painting pictures, woodworking and photography. Roy enjoyed working on his house and every year he had a special home-improvement project to keep his home looking great. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Roy loved his many dogs throughout his life, Abner, Yogi, Rufus, Heidi, Molly and Diesel. He always had a love for Germany and enjoyed taking trips to Germany to visit with Frieda's family. He is survived by his wife Frieda Anna Harmon, one son, James Roy Harmon & wife Theresia of Keokuk, IA, one daughter, Gina Maria Harmon of Keokuk, three grandchildren, Amy Kelly & husband Shayne, Cheri Kelly & husband Nathan and Andrew Harmon & wife Amber all of Keokuk, eleven great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Ackley, Josh Ackley, Phoenix Harmon, Ashton Harmon, Ethan Kelly, Addision Kelly, Noah Kelly, Andreas Harmon, Gabriella Kelly, Haydrian Harmon and James Harmon and one great-great-grandchild, Brighton Ackley. He is also survived by two brothers, Leslie Harmon & wife Peggy of Hamilton and Dale Harmon & wife Betsy of Palm Coast, FL, one sister, Gloria Harmon of Keokuk and one sister-in-law Rose Harmon of Elburn, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Walter Dallas Harmon and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor John Heath officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with the family meeting with friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
