Roy was preceded in death by his father, Lum Columbus Ishee; mother, Eula Pilgrim; three brothers, Larry Ishee, Rudolph Ishee, and Leland Ishee; two sisters, Braddis Strivings and Louise Hancock; and mother of children, Elaine Gieger. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife of nineteen years, Robin Elizabeth; son, Michael (Leslie) Ishee; daughter, Lesa (Lester) Parish; grandsons, Keller and Kasey Ishee, Denton (Paige) Parish; granddaughter Nicole (Darrell) Patrick; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Logan and Elizabeth Patrick and Presley Parish. He is also survived by his sister, Nitha Jo (David) Summers; father and mother in law, Hal and Ruby Whitaker; and sister in law, Connie Cantrell, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Memory Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Laurel. Visitation at the church will begin at 1 p.m. The service will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Sharon cemetery. Officiants will be Bro. Randy Turner, Bro. Roy Crouch, Bro. Shannon Slover, and Bro. Wayne Pinkerton.
