Personally, Harry was an avid model railroader; a voracious reader who loved history; especially American History and the Civil War and a great story-teller with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed all types of music, wine and was strongly supportive of education. In 1999, he joined the Indianapolis Wine and Food Society. He became Sir Bacchus, President of the Society, in 2010. For their six black-tie dinners per year, Harry paired wine to each of the chef's courses on the menu. He enjoyed sharing his love of wine with the members and treasured their friendships. In addition to his many interests, Harry above all loved his family - both immediate and extended. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father who guided with strong devotion, quiet strength and a generous heart. He never tired of telling stories of his childrens', grandchildrens' or nieces' and nephews' adventures and accomplishments. He left a legacy of love and compassion to all. He was a strong mentor and a role model and we were all blessed to have had him in our lives.
