Carmen Lopez
Carmen S. Lopez (nee Rivera) 73, of Oberlin, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin following a lengthy illness.
Born April 19, 1944 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain in the early 1960's. Carmen worked as a housekeeper at Joseph and Feiss then at Lorain Community Hospital, retiring in 1973. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel and enjoyed watching soap operas and cooking.
Surviving are her sons, Jeffrey of Oberlin and Modesto Jr of Lorain; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; brothers, Hector Rivera of Florida and Albin Rivera of Puerto Rico and sister, Iris B. Lopez of Lorain.l
She was preceded in death by her husband, Modesto in 1987; and a daughter, Vilmaliz Crespo and sisters, Annie Perez and Iliana Nieves.
