Emma Sophia Sorensen

Stoughton - Emma Sophia Sorensen, aka (Moe), age 14, passed away on September 7, 2017 at the UW Childrens Hospital. She was born on December 8, 2002, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Michelle (Laughlin) Sorensen.

Emma went to Pumpkin patch preschool, Fox Prairie, River Bluff, and then onto Stoughton high school. Emma was very involved in sport's. She played for Stoughton hockey, (Jr Iceberg's) Saysa Soccer. Emma played soccer for many year's. She loved putting those cleat's on, stepping onto that field. Playing like there was nothing stopping her. Her newest passion was cross country. The connection she had with the experience, word's cannot describe.

Emma loved so many things in life, spending time with her family, taking her dog's Eve and Nala for walk's. Emma was always there for when her friend's needed her. Her friendships were very important to her. Emma's love for music was contagious. She would turn the music on, and we would start dancing with her. This beautiful child has had an effect on everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her and the luxury of her friendship for those who were in need of such a person.

She is survived by her Mom and Dad; brother, Rickie; sisters, Jessica and Lily; grandparents, Melissa Laughlin, Patricia and James Linder; She is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and her love Evan Schreier.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Rd B., Stoughton. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.. No visitation will be held on Sunday at church. She will be laid to rest at Lutheran South Cemetery in Stoughton. Light refreshments will be served following the services.

Emma's entire family would like to thank the Community of Stoughton and all who have been supportive during this difficult time.
