o Colorado every year. They have been active in church activities at First Mennonite in Iowa City for many years. Orlin and Lores were involved with the Iowa MEDA Chapter. He served on the International MEDA Board for six years. Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Lores of Williamsburg; three children: Kim (Cheri) Hochstetler of Tiffin, Kathy Lippold of Parnell and Kirk (Fiancé Karen Gaffey) Hochstetler of Tiffin; ten grandchildren: Shelly (Tyler) Kopriva, Steve Hochstetler, Lydia (Russell) Chittick, Lilly Lippold, Miranda Hochstetler, Meridith Hochstetler, Ashton Kacena, Abby Kacena, Cameron (Haley) Kacena and Kiera Gaffey; five great grandchildren: Elsa, Lena and Thys Kopriva, Robert and Emily Chittick; two sisters: Arlene Miller and Mary (Keith) Brenneman; a brother Dale (Lucille) Hochstetler; and 2sisters-in-law Marvel Hochstetler and Glenis Hochstetler. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Donald and Roger Hochstetler, and a brother-in-law John Miller. Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 22, 2017, at First Mennonite Church in Iowa City, with ministers Terry Zimmerly and Jim Grossnickle-Batterton officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017, at First Mennonite Church in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established for Meda International and Crooked Creek Christian Camp. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kalona is caring for Orlin and his family.
