t matter what time of year it was, including ice fishing in the cold of winter. Asher liked eating fish as much as he liked catching them and was fully outfitted with fishing gear.
Asher was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in November 2015. After lengthy hospitalizations and undergoing a bone marrow transplant, Asher's cancer was successfully destroyed with no evidence of disease. He later developed post transplant complications and was unable to overcome them. Throughout, he remained a strong and courageous warrior.
Asher is survived by his parents Jaime and Brice Jager of Walnut, Iowa; Jeffrey Soderstrom of Loveland, Iowa; brothers Ethan and Liam Soderstrom; maternal grandparents Robert and Nancy Allpress of Naper, Nebraska; paternal grandparents Glenda Nichols of Lacey, Washington; Richard Soderstrom and Randi Strong Peterson of Hansville, Washington; step-grandparents Rick Jager of Kimballton, Iowa; Sherry Jager of Walnut, Iowa; aunt and uncle Aaron and Mischelle Darragh of Bellingham, Washington. He was preceded in death by his uncle Jason Allpress.
