Carol Jean Keough, 79, of Fertile, died Thursday (September 14, 2017) at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A funeral service for Carol will be held 10:30a.m Saturday (September 23, 2017) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. Ne, Mason City with Reverend Art Zewert officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5pm until 7pm, Friday (September 22, 2017) at Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring Street, Manly.
Carol Jean Kloster was born to George Kloster Sr. and Marcella (Monson) Dwire on February 26, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa. Carol married William Keough on February 14, 1954 and from this marriage seven children were conceived. Carol loved playing cards, playing bingo with her sisters, and attending grandchildren's activities and events. She was very proud of all her grandchildren. Carol also enjoyed making doilies, and spending time with her dogs and cats, especially her dog Shorty.
