oup and enjoyed being an Extra Ordinary Minister. She enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, and baking. She was a very talented singer and enjoyed singing at the What Cheer Opera House with Duane. She delighted in spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her positive spirit, outgoing personality and her unwavering love for the Lord.
Her family includes her husband of nearly 50 years, Duane Walker of Woodstock, Illinios; two daughters, Shawna (Russ) Johnson of Woodstock, Illinois, and Jennifer Walker of Gilbert, Arizona; four grandchildren, Morgan, Jimmy, Avery, and Lauren Johnson; a sister, Mary Alice Rightsell of Platteville, Colorado; three brothers, Bob Gonzales of Ottumwa, Iowa, Richard (Marilyn) Gonzales Platteville, Colorado, and Fred (Tanya) Gonzales of Boulder, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dan Gonzales and David Gonzales; and infant twin siblings.
Mass of the Christian Burial for Patricia will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oskaloosa with Reverend John Spiegel officiating. Burial will be in the Bellefountaine Cemetery near Tracy, Iowa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Wednesday after 12 noon and the family would welcome everyone to join them for a Christian Vigil service on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Following the Christian Vigil Service, the family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral chapel until 7:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. the family will pray the Rosary with those that would like to join them. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Mission in Meru, Kenya.
