LEROY AMES
LeRoy Ames, beloved brother and friend, died peacefully on September 23, 2017.
He was born to Ronald and Ann (Datta) Ames on May 11, 1937, in Winona. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Ronald Jr., Ralph, and Richard. He is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Kemmer; brother, Raymond; sister-in-law, Dorie Ames; nephews: Ross (Valerie), Brett (Kim), Scott, and Ricky; a great-nephew Bode; as well as his housemates, caretakers, and friends with Home and Community Options.
LeRoy enjoyed life to the fullest and leaves a host of friends who will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM with a prayer service at 5:45 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 10:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka. The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
