n Deere in Ankeny, as a welder for over 29 years until he had to retire for health reasons in 2004. Woody was a member of UAW Local #450 of Des Moines, Lifetime Member of the NRA, Boone Sportsman Club, Boone Hunt and Fish Club, Boone Moose Lodge #104, and the Boone Pioneer Center. He loved traveling, hunting and fishing, especially his trips to Alaska and Canada. Woody also enjoyed playing cards, skeet shooting and he was a naturally gifted wood worker and jack of all trades. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, relatives and lots of friends over the years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Fritch Majors Woodard; kids; two step kids; grandkids; great grandkids and numerous friends.
