f Atlantic, Iowa, Nancy Reece and her husband, Bill of Mandeville, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren, Rachel Wayson and her husband, Michael, Jacob Smith, Peter Smith and his wife, Ellie, Anna Smith, Laura Nosbisch, John Nosbisch, Matthew Nosbisch and his wife, Melissa, Dean Robinson, Jenny Arends and her husband, Tim, Emily Jaksich and her husband, Graham, Maggie Robinson, William Reece and his fianc, Lesley, and Charles Reece; nine great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Dunbar of Kaneohe, Hawaii; and brother, David Smith of Atlantic; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette; his parents; and half-brother, Paul Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 2, 2017, at Roland Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Neal of Buck Creek Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Brighton Township Cemetery, northeast of Marne, followed by a luncheon at The Venue, 307 Walnut Street, Atlantic.
Visitation with the family will be from five to seven p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic.
