anage Bob and Ray's Super Valu grocery store. Pat enjoyed many hobbies including reading, knitting, crocheting, and watching television. She also enjoyed music from the 40's and 50's and watching Iowa State Basketball and Hawkeye Football. Most of all Pat enjoyed spending time with her husband Robert, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Pat enjoyed 44 ½ years of marriage until Robert's passing in 1995. Pat remained in Knoxville, but things were not the same in an empty house, so Pat moved to the Embers Senior Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. She stayed at Embers until 2009 when she became a resident at the Iowa Veterans Home.
Pat is survived by her daughters Polly (Brian) Burlage of Marshalltown, Katherine (Kenneth) Stancel of Des Moines, and Amy Sutherland of Monticello, MN, and sons Robert (Nancy) Eckheart of Des Moines, and Christopher (Kari) Eckheart of Mankato, MN, and 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Eckheart, and son-in-law John Sutherland.
