Barbara A. Skolaski, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 29, 2017 at her home. She was born on January 28, 1937 in Madison, the daughter of the late August and Veronica (Schmidt) Skolaski. Barbara graduated from Edgewood High School in 1955 and attended Edgewood College. She worked at Rayovac for 45 years, beginning as a secretary and retiring in 2002 as a pension specialist.
In her retirement Barbara enjoyed volunteering for Oakwood Village, the American Red Cross and the Alzheimer's & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin. She was also an avid Badger and Packer fan. Barbara enjoyed hosting many family gatherings for birthdays and holidays. Barb was a very intelligent and witty woman with many interests including politics, music and family history.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Simon; nieces and nephews, Roger Simon, Christi (Greg) Seltzner, Cynthia (Dave) Severson, Steven (Vera) Simon and Sandy (Chuck) Pellino; great-nephews, Nathan and Brett Severson and great-niece, Megan Pellino; and numerous dear friends.

Shepherd Catholic Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy., with Msgr. Tom Baxter officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Madison.
