Walter James Kurlander

Walter James Kurlander, infant son of Matthew and Christine (Lankenau) Kurlander of Tivoli, passed away on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.  

Born on August 6, 2017, in Rhinebeck, NY, Walter is survived by his loving parents; his siblings, Jack and Daphne Kurlander; his maternal grandparents, Alison and John Lankenau of Tivoli, New York and New York City; and his paternal grandmother, Sandra Kurlander of Scottsdale, Arizona as well as loving aunts, uncles and cousins:  Mara (Kurlander) and Blayne Curtis, Carson, Sydney; Amy (Lankenau) and Aaron McPherson, Henry, Caleb, Alison; Catherine (Lankenau) and Chris Weeks, Fernanda, Wendy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2017 at The Church of Messiah, 6436 Montgomery Street/Rt. 9, Rhinebeck, NY. Fr. Richard McKeon will officiate. Children are welcome in the service but childcare will be provided at the church hall. Interment will be private at Viewmonte Cemetery in Germantown, NY.
