He loved to dance with Letty, especially when his son, Marlan would play in his band, the Drifters. Above all else, Elmer was a family man. He enjoyed visiting with family and loved to listen to Letty sing.Elmer is survived by his wife, Letty Rhoads Miller of Winterset; children, Eugene (Darlene) Miller of Peru, Sherry (Dennis) Miner of Winterset, Marlan (Carla) Miller of Peru, Bill (Linda) Rhoads of Winterset, Bob Rhoads (fiancée, Bev Bircher) of Winterset, and Jim (RoxAnn) Rhoads of Peru; sister-in-law, Aletha Miller of Denver, CO; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Minnie; his first wife, Delores; brothers, Donnie Miller, Herman "Dutch" Miller, and Ernest "Slim" (Maxine) Miller; a sister, Ruth (Robert) Anderson; and a great-grandchild, Alannah Maxwell.
