Charles John Rosmann, 79, of Muscatine, passed away peacefully at home of October 1, 2017 after a lengthy illness being cared for by his loving wife Stella.
Charles was born in Harlan, Iowa, to Urban and Margaret Rosmann, on August 18, 1938. After Harlan High Graduation, Charles received an Educational Degree from Northwest Missouri State and a masters from the University of Iowa. His professional career included teaching at the secondary level and Muscatine Community College. He became an insurance agent and substance abuse counselor at New Horizons and Mercy Hospital.
Charles loved outdoor activies, such as canoeing, fishing and enjoying the beautiful Iowa country side. Saturday he enjoyed following the Iowa Hawkeyes sports. He was an avid reader and was quite accomplished player of the piano and guitar. He used his musical talent in volunteering at nursing homes and daycare centers. Charles use to like to use his creative talent in creating bicycles and pics for the handicapped. Many relatives are grateful for his international genealogy study and documentation of the Rosmann heritage.

Charles will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 30 years, Stella M. Maylone Hurlbut, his twin sister Charlene (Edward) Flannery, his children; Laura (Daniel) Katayama of Redondo Beach, Ca. Michelle (Mark) Wilson of Phoenix, AZ. and Stephen (Vicki) Rosmann of Katy, TX.: stepdaughter Renee Reyes (German) of Muscatine. Also by his six grandchildren, Kyle and Katy Katayama, Maxwell and Amanda Wilson, Joel Rosmann, James DeLap and great-grandchildren.
