Marita Reinitz Hafner went home to the Lord on October 2, 2017. She was born October 4,1940, and grew up with her mother Genevieve, Grandma Erickson, and big sister Marlene in Albany, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in child development. She began her career as a case worker in Manitowoc, WI. She worked as a resident coordinator at the Job Corp which provided vocational education for 2000 young women in Clinton, Iowa. Later, she moved to New Hampshire to teach in a private school for emotionally disturbed children. On December 15, 1973, her family gathered in a picturesque New England church for Marita and Larry's wedding. Marita's creativity was evident in the home baked wedding cake of German stolen, pumpkin bread, and nut bread. After their honeymoon, Marita and Larry settled in the family farmhouse in Louisville, CO. Later, they moved to their dream home with a beautiful view of the Rockies in Broomfield.
