Douglas Whitish

JEFFERSON-Douglas Whitish, age 64, of Jefferson, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Alden Estates in Jefferson surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 23, 1952, in Madison, the son of Edward and Glennis (Gilkes) Whitish.  Doug graduated from La Follete High School in 1970. He worked until he became disabled in 2005. He was a Chicago Bears fan and an avid NASCAR fan.  Doug also enjoyed woodworking, making stained glass and gardening.  He was a prankster and loved everyone.  Douglas is survived by his mother; significant other, Pauline Bruhn; Pauline's children; Matthew and Adam Bruhn; and three grandchildren; brothers, Greg (Natalie) Whitish and Mark (Jeanne) Whitish; sisters, Sue Whitish and  Barb (Earl) Chandler; nieces, Shannon (Adam Wagner) Whitish, Alyssa (Adam) Feidt, Erin (Mitch) Grosskopf, Melissa Chandler and Kylie Chandler; nephews, Brandon Whitish, Christopher (Sarah Shudlick) Chandler, Jerod (Katelyn) Reuter and Shane McNamara; great-nephews, Liam Feidt, Brady Grosskopf, Grayson Reuter, Cameron Chandler and Parker Wagner; great-niece, Charlotte Feidt; and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; father, Edward ...[more]
