The casket will be moved to St. Lawrence Church on Monday morning where visitation will resume at 9 a.m., and continue until the time of the funeral mass.

Born on May 7, 1930 near Roselle, Iowa, Mary was the daughter of John H. and Elizabeth (Sibbel) Behrens. She grew up near Roselle, and attended Holy Angels School. On April 12, 1950 Mary was united in marriage to James W. Ausman at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll. The couple made their home in the Carroll area.
Mary worked at General Electric in Carroll until her retirement. After retiring, she worked at Stone Printing, and volunteered at various organizations in Carroll. She will be remembered for her deep devotion to her faith, and to her family. Mary was a member of the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, Carroll Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll.
Left to celebrate Mary's life are her sons: Randy (Sue) Ausman of Carroll, and Kevin (Caryn) Ausman of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Stephen Ausman of Des Moines, and Carly Ausman, of Chicago, IL; a sister, Irene Brincks of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James on March 24, 1994; and her siblings: Lawrence (Justine) Behrens, Joe (Juletta) Behrens, John (Beatrice) Behrens, and Louise Behrens; and a brother-in-law: Paul Brincks.
