Alberta Udora Becker

Mrs. Alberta Udora Beatty Becker, 94, of Danville, died Thursday, December 23 at the Danville Care Center. Mrs. Becker was born August 30, 1916 in Lone Tree, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Barbara Yedlick Beatty. On October 17, 1936 she married Louis Ernest Becker, Sr. in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1989. Mrs. Becker was a homemaker who was known for her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. She enjoyed her family time. She is survived by one son, Louis E. (Joyce) Becker of Danville, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Betty Mitchell, and one brother Robert Beatty. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 30 at Elliott Chapel, New London. Pastor Ed Bunt will officiate. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery, rural Mediapolis. Visitation will begin after noon on Wednesday, December 29 at Elliott Chapel, and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 PM.
