Homer McCarthy

Homer McCarthy, 89, of Brighton CO, passed away on January 6, 2011. Born in Clarke, SD on January 4, 1922, he was the son of Albert and Anna McCarthy. Homer was a World War II Navy veteran. On May 27, 1946, he married Bernice Schiltz at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bancroft, IA. He is survived by Bernice along with their children, Richard (Nicole) of Albuquerque, NM, Mark (Dawn) of Brighton, CO, Janice (Michael) Storlien of Carmel, IN, Justin (Nancy) of Placentia, CA, Michael (Barbara) of Tishomingo, OK, Jeffrey (Cindy) of Brush, CO and Thomas (Diane) of Elsinore, CA. His brother, Vincent McCarthy of Seneca, SC also survives. His surviving grandchildren are Holly, Michael, Jason, Matthew, Brian, Stephanie, Sean, Katie, Kyle, Danielle, Steven, Sarah and Jamaica. He was proceeded in death by his parents, sister, Maxine, brothers, Donald, John, Robert and Raymond and granddaughter, Angel Ann. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, Brighton, Colorado.
